The Top 10 Most Overrated games EVER!!!
Don’t you just hate it when everyone making a fuss over a game just a little too much? Well don’t worry I do to, in this list I’ll be telling you what are the overrated games known to man. Please don’t be bitches of what games are on this list they’re my opinions and not yours.
10. Wii Sports- When this game was first was announced I shit myself with excitement; it got even sweeter when I learned it was bundled with the Wii itself. I found the game fun in all but it got repetitive, there was never to do apart from trying to go pro and see what your fitness age was. Most people think that this the only game on the Wii as I know 2 people who only have this game on their Wii.
9. Half Life 2- I hear the fanboys planning their attack while I’m typing this, well it’s true this got so much praise it’s unbelievable. There’s nothing special in this game apart from physics and a gun that drags and drops. I liked this game but it got incredibly frustrating with its shitty controls while in vehicles, its same enemies and those spiders that scare the crap out of me because they jump at you and take most of your health. I much prefer the first one to this.
8. Metroid- Back in the 1980s all our heroes were male there was no Lara Croft, Joanna Dark and those foxy big breasted Dead or Alive girls. Well basically you’re a bounty hunter on this planet and you have no idea what to do, I think you got to get the weapons to open certain doors then find the mother brain, metroids and shit. The only thing interesting about is that Samus Aran is a girl and not a boy *spoiler, oops too late*. I’ve never known why but most people prefer this to the masterpiece which was is Kid Icarus, I mean some of you don’t know a master piece when you see one.
7. Final Fantasy VII- Jesus Christ I’m going to get flamed for this but the truth is I HATE FINAL FANTASY VII. I mean what’s the big deal about it, it’s boring, been done a million times before it and it isn’t even that good of a RPG. I love the story and found it better than most movies released that year but the gameplay is where it’s lacking, this was the second Final Fantasy released in European territories (That Chucobobo Dungeons or whatever the fuck it’s called being the first according to my good mate). Everyone’s having a boner over the PS3 trailer that was released two years ago which was a tease and isn’t actually gonna happen, if you want to flam me just PM meJ.
6. Portal- I know what you’re thinking, why the fuck is Portal on the list? Well my friends that’s because it’s not the best game ever as most of you think, I loved it and went through it all on one go but the game felt like a Xbox Live Arcade game to me and that’s not a bad thing it’s just over to quickly, the later levels were frustrating and overall I don’t think it deserved the game of the year title that many websites gave it. I love Still Alive but not when one of my mates burned it on CD and played it over a billion times.
5.Metal Gear Solid 2- I know a lot of you will agree with me on this one, it received a 9.7 on IGN and the game did nothing more than the fact that you had to play as a fag called Raiden. I mean that’s the biggest problem right there, when I bought this for £44.99 back in 2002 I was expecting it will be a kickass sequel to one of the best game in PS and N64 generation but no what I got was a game buried in cutscenes and a stupid plot which I never could understand. Thankfully the sequel was almost as good as the first one but still had to many cutscenes, when MGS4 comes out I hope that it isn’t buried in even more cutscences.
4. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas- One of the most controversial games of all time is also one of the most overrated. When this game first came people went crazy for it saying it’s the best game ever, I disagreed I got this game on Christmas and played it for an entire day and that day was full of frustration. First thing is first why are the missions so simplistic and usually about driving to one place to another or shoot some innocent person who doesn’t deserve it, also why didn’t they fix the controls or at least let us set up our own controls scheme. When I played I usually just went around the city causing massacres and terrorism which is fun for a while but does get boring. However I am looking forward to getting GTA IV because it looks better and it’s got multiplayer bitches.
3. Resident Evil 4- Ah yes one of my most favourite games on the GameCube, many hours of fun went into this killing zombies (or whatever they were), looking up Ashley’s skirt while she’s calling you a pervert, talking to merchant and see out of all your mates does the best impression. Good times, good times but that doesn’t mean you have to port it a billion times, I’ve only got the Wii version because it was when the Wii hardly had any good games. Now there are rumours that it will come out on Xbox 360 and PS3 and there’s a mobile port too.
2. Bioshock- OMG how dare I put this so high? Well probably because it deserves it, when I played the demo I was gobsmacked the amazing graphics, the amazing atmosphere and the way it was so creepy it was unbelievable. So I thought I should buy the game, after I played that same level in the game I was like WTF? The game was getting stale, it was just getting weirder and weirder on purpose, I started enjoying it again near the end until I saw the ending. Rants starts, OK why is the ending so crappy? We barely know what happens, he make it back to land then dies, I could make a better ending We finally see his face, makes it back to land and tries to tell everyone the story but no one believes him so he determine to go back to rapture and film a documentary that will go on the Discovery Channel and that what the sequel will be about.
1. Halo 3- We saw this coming from a mile away. In September 2007 this game was released and was the biggest entertainment launch in history, yes we were all excited, we all wanted to know what we happen to the Chief and whether it was the way the world ends (Dramatic Music). I was so excited about this game was that I accidently got 2 copies, one I bought at the midnight launch and another one I got in the post which I forgot I ordered months before the game came out. Ok the game isn’t bad but it isn’t perfect, one flaw is that the campaign is rubbish in my opinion, the multiplayer is almost the same as Halo 2 and the game was nowhere near as epic as I thought it would. Some good things were the soundtrack, it was one of the best soundtracks released that year, the story got you wanting more which was a bad thing at the same time because I wanted them to finish it off but instead we get some cliffhanger (well thats what I think of it as), and of course the multiplayer as addicting and repetitive as it always was, with more playlists and maps (well eventually). One stupid feature on this is Forge I hate it because my mates love it. Why? I don’t know. All I’ve done on it is made a pair of tits by placing grenades everywhere.
Well that’s my list of the most overrated games ever released, I’m sure I will need to update it soon with games like Home, Little Big Planet, Gears Of War 2 and Wii Fit. Tell me what games I’ve missed out on or that shouldn’t be on the list.
Wow this may just be the biggest musical move ever!
When Panic at the Disco (PATD) first came on to the scene they were young, energetic and were considered emo. But now in the year 2008 things have changed as sung in the first track they are still the same band but going into a different direction. OK first thing is first please give this album more than one listen through before judging it, it takes time to get used to but once you’ve gotten used to it you will be singing along like a hippie on smack. The first single of the album is the Beatles inspired “Nine in the Afternoon” is a very catchy tune which get addicting like “put any drug here” and is PATD’s most successful single to date. One good about this album is that it doesn’t have any of those crappy unneeded introduction tracks, well if “We’re So Starving” counts then it’s definitely a huge improvement compared to “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out”. You can tell that the Beatles has been the biggest influence while recording the album with songs like “Behind the Sea” and “The Piano Knows Something I Don’t Know”, at the same time there are songs you thought you would never hear on a mainstream 21st century album, “I Have Friends In Holy Spaces” and “Folkin Around” are songs you would hear in some redneck filled bar rather than a Rock album. Most songs on the album are triple A+ tracks, I personally think that Pretty. Odd is the best album this year so far and that PATD have done a great job on this album and deserves your hard earned money.
10/10 Great album and a great follow up to “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out”, buy it if you’ve got a great taste in music.
This was the review that stunned the world but manily Random-Publishing as this was my first and I'm very pround of it (Sarcasm).
Console Reviewed On: Xbox 360
Like all popular franchises nowadays they decide to release sequel after sequel after sequel and most of them turning out to be crapper than the first game but guitar hero 3 is different it's exactly the same as the previous ones. Now I'm not calling it a bad game but they could have tried something different ok there is boss battles but they're shit Its fun at first but it's basically cpu face off which is kind of pointless. There is a new online mode which could of been added in the Xbox 360 version of guitar hero 2, another new feature is battle mode which is basically face off but you have to make your opponent fail with help using different items such as making a fret button useless until you press it a billion times and using the lefty flip which basically making the fret board the other way round to confuse you and more each not innovative and just reason to hate this mode more and more.
One thing has dramatically change is the graphic which are now more realistic looking which is cool but I prefer the cartoony looks from the first 3 games but that my opinion to you it probably doesn’t look good enough.
The best thing in this game is definitely the set list the best one out of all four games, there are over 70 songs on the disc alone but most are crap but there are some amazing ones that stick out such as Anarchy in the UK, One, Ruby, Miss Murder and more. There is download content if you do get bored with the 70 songs on the disc like I did this includes packs like Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver and a classic rock one and the Warner/Respire pack there are standalone songs like the free Halo theme which is pretty meh, three kings which a Christmas carol but revamped into a guitar medley, 3 song by European bands these are the only ones I’ve not checked out and last but not least the limited time only Aerosmith song dream on re-recorded for their new game, the only problem i had with these packs are they’re too expensive 500 Microsoft points is a lot of money especially for some people. I’m lucky but I only bought these because I like all the bands in these packs and another complaint is these packs not only cost alot but badly made because these are cheaply made instead of spending hard time on making these sound perfect they just put notes anywhere especially in the Reprise one why not take time on these songs.
This game is a welcome part of the guitar hero series it’s still not as bad as guitar hero: rocks the 80s, this will take you a while to get bored of it took me 3 months I’m waiting for the Aerosmith game, I'm hope they don't cock it up.
Overall Ratings
Graphics 7 prefer the old cartoony graphics
Presentation 6 it’s nice to listen to some of the tunes while looking through the menus but get annoying especially while waiting for someone to join you online hearing that 30 seconds echoed sample over and over.
Gameplay 8 This is the best part of the whole its incredibly fun and great at parties.
Longevity 8 This game lasts a good while especially if you love all the songs apart from kool thing.
