I was bored so I've made a list of the most overrated games ever. The list is on my blog.
Uwe Boll has responded to the million signatures and he will stop being in films petition. He thinks that he is the only genius in the filiming buisness. In this video he bitches about Micheal Bay, George Clooney and other people I don't care about.
Best bit- When Uwe says he's not a fucking retard, I wouldn't put my money on that Uwe.
Last month we made BBC iPlayer available on Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices, the first of many mobile platforms that we hope to support.
The theme for this month's iPlayer release is "iPlayer in the living room"- i.e. watching BBC on-demand programmes on your big-screen television set.
Today, most people watch iPlayer programmes on their computer. That's great - you can watch your favourite BBC programmes curled up in bed with your notebook PC, or on your study desk while you check your email, or (if you downloaded our programmes) on the plane or away abroad on holiday.
But have you tried hooking up your computer to your TV set?
iPlayer programmes, particularly downloaded programmes, look great on a TV. The video quality is usually even better when iPlayer programmes are played back on a TV than on your computer screen. Most newish computers, particularly notebook computers, have an S-video output, which, with a suitable S-video to SCART cable, can connect to most modern TV sets. If you have an LCD or plasma TV, chances are that it will have a VGA input which will give even better picture quality when connected to the VGA output of your notebook PC.

If you have a Nintendo Wii, it's already connected to your TV, and now you can play BBC iPlayer programmes directly on your Wii.
On your Wii, you'll first need to install the Internet Channel, which costs 500 Wii points, or approx. £3.50 (unfortunately there's no alternative to having to buy the Wii Internet Channel for iPlayer web site access at this time - but later we hope to be able to get iPlayer on Wii without this purchase being needed). After you've installed the Internet Channel, browse to www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer, find your favourite programme, and hit Play. The programme should play immediately.
For a smooth playback experience on Wii you'll need an internet connection that can give you 1Mbps or better. If you're experiencing buffering issues, try turning off any P2P or other downloads that are running on other computers around your home.
iPlayer on Wii is still in beta, and over the coming weeks we'll tweak the video encoding rates and playback window size to get the best possible video quality.

When Rock Band was released in the US, it cost $169, and came with the game, guitar, microphone and drums. Not a bad deal. But in Europe, on May 23? Good heavens. The game won't come in a single bundle. Instead, there's two products available at lauch. One is called the "Instrument Edition", which costs £130/€170. It comes with a guitar, drums, and mic. That's it. No game. No, if you want the game as well, it'll cost you another £50/€70. That brings the cost of the game and three instruments to £180/€240. Or, USD$378. Three hundred and seventy-eight dollars. I know, things are always more expensive in Europe, but...damn. Whether it's MTV or EA behind this price, you can take that price, and you can stick it up your arse.
EA clarifies Rock Band pricing [Eurogamer]
Fuck you EA, why is this game more expensive than the system it was made for? I've already emailed EA telling them I'm not buying it.EA I've been waiting months for this game but now I'm not going to bother sorry about this rant but why do americans pay half of this and was released back in November last year while us nice, peaceful europeans have been shitted on.

amazon.com has just posted an image which looks like the official US box art for Metal Gear Solid 4. It's a rather classy affair, zooming on Snake's aged face. He looks rather contemplative, his eyes filled with a tiredness only years of war and fighting can create. The colorless box art reminds us that this will be a serious affair, one we're sure will play with our delicate heartstrings quite dramatically.

For those with bigger wallets, you may be interested in MGS4's limited edition box, available exclusively at GameStop.
Yeah you should get the Limited Edition copy, this is probably the worst boxart for Metal Gear Solid 4 the japanese one looks lovely and kept with the traditional sketches and even the european boxart looks better than this piece of shit. I mean who wants an old man on their box of what could be the game of the year?
Back in February, we heard from a reliable source that the release of Rock Band in Europe was going to finally happen in May, but only for the Xbox 360 crowd. Those in the PlayStation 3 camp were going to have to settle for September. We contacted EA for confirmation, but they opted to neither confirm or deny the information. Today, we've heard from two other sources, neither of which are total confirmation, that that may have been accurate.
First, Kotaku reader Brooza was notified by Amazon UK that his pre-order, dating back to June 2007, finally had a ship date of May 15 to May 22. We have yet to hear from anyone who had pre-ordered the PS3 SKU.
Second, a poster on the NeoGAF forums, citing a retailer memo, also pegs Rock Band's European tour will start on May 22, retailing for 169.99 Euro (about $260 in current US dollars). That memo is said to also list the PS3 and PS2 editions for the fall. We're following up again with EA's European folks and will update when we hear back.
As a european myself, this is bullshit that the fact that Rock Band has been out in america since november last year.

Rob Taylor, deputy editor of Xbox World 360 magazine, is the first games writer to finish Grand Theft Auto IV (Crecente is ... well, he's hurt by this. You probably shouldn't mention it when he gets back on Monday.) He was among a group of writers who got to play at Rockstar's offices in Chelsea, London, and was the first to get through it. GamesRadar UK has a talk with Rob about what he saw and learned — helpfully edited to remove spoilers (right down to asterisking a mission title).
It's nice that he didn't give away any spoilers but apart of me just thinks this is complete utter BS.

OK, time for a flash-game cookie break! Know what I like about this one? Even though you get the joke, even though you follow the instructions, even though you do it right with complete and total hand-holding the first time ...

You're still proud of yourself for figuring it out.
Someone stick a walkthrough on Gamefaqs, please. I'm busy posting.
We deserve to feel good sometimes you know.

Nope. You're not the only one experiences issues with Xbox Live tonight, dear gaming friends. The service is, we assume, buckling under the pressure of the multitudes trying to snatch the new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map pack. The official Xbox support site reads "Xbox LIVE users may experience issues with purchasing marketplace items, receiving title updates, and account management." A handful of readers have notified us of their issues, including the inability to redeem Microsoft Points cards and download from Marketplace. Our suggestion? If you don't want to have a frustrating Friday night, take a Live breather.
Yeah but I've just bought the Call Of Duty 4 maps and I want to play them, why isn't the Playstation Network ever this shitty?

We got a tip that Mr. Driller Online for XBLA is having a problem with the online portion of the gameplay. Turns out that the person hosting an online game is fine while the other person can't drill anything. X3F put a video together of the bug which we've placed after the break.
Another test of Mr. Driller's online capabilities was done today with the same broken result. No word on a patch in the works. Best to save your 800 MS points for the moment, no sense in supporting broken title. I wouldn't of bought it if I knew it was broken.
I love the Mr Driller series and when I found out there was going to be one with online features I was getting wet but the fucking online multiplayer doesn't work. Oh well the new Call Of Duty 4 map are out later and Ikaruga is out on XBLA next week so not a big loss.

Following the BBFC's decision to award Grand Theft Auto IV an 18 rating, the body has revealed the uncut title will contain a 'multitude' of sexual references.
The game, which is certain to spark debate following the Byron Review, will allow players to pick up prostitutes, as well as portraying masturbation, fellatio and intercourse.
A statement on the British Board of Film Classification's website read: "Sex references also occur during cut scenes, including references to strong sexual behaviour. During gameplay the character can pick up prostitutes.
"What follows is an undetailed portrayal of masturbation, fellatio and intercourse. The character can also visit lap dancing clubs and request a private dance. While the game contains sexualised dancing and the portrayal of sex, there is no sexualised nudity."
The BBFC's ratings page for Grand Theft Auto IV, however, has now been taken down at Rockstar's request after it was revealed it contained spoilers for the forthcoming title.
Grand Theft Auto IV will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 29.
Oh well, hopefully there won't be any kind of hot coffee in the game or Mr Thompson will be pissed.
Sorry for the cheap paint job I did on this but it's 4am and I'm nackered
